thks so much for yr compliment.
i did not go down, the sulphur odour was so overwhelming. i just used my tele to take full advantage from the top rim. on my trip saw few youngters who actually scaled down without any worry. i wolud to see more of your china photos, i post mine later. did u visit Habaxhusan northwest of Lijiang Yunan?

I just saw your answer so my reply is very very late
Sorry not a lot of knowledge of Yunnan apart from the main tourist points. It would be different if we were talking about Sichuan. Hope to be there this autumn, hope the rain hasn't affected Aba & Ganzi county too much
