Mother's Day

a mother is probably the only person in our lives who can be the object of bottomless love as much as deep hate - probably because without them, we wouldn't be here - and "here" can mean heaven as well as hell, depending on where we are in life.
but regardless of what we feel or felt for her, we survived those first weeks only because of her, and for this we should be forever grateful.
I see your photo and it reminds me of my mother's body - not the gym-enhanced, tight, worked-out body of the mothers I see these days, but that of a normal woman with three kids and a family to run. the normality of something that withstood pain and changed shape so that I could be here. whatever here is.
thanks.

As long as you remember the taste of her milk.
:-)) Thanks, Cristina. One of the nicest comments I've got. |
