Hello Grazyna,
Interesting study of life among the socially deprived. The kids provide the only colour among the grey walls and cobbled street. I like your title, including the mother-to-be among the kids.
Regards,
Gert

"" Interesting study of life among the socially deprived.""
In Portugal ? Socially deprived ? To the best of my knowledge - Portugal is a democratic society and there is no 'social deprivation' existing in there. It's not like the pariahs in India or people of N. Korea of being deprived of the basic, democratic rights. The people in the photo are... Well... The people. Like everywhere. Some live like that. Some live differently. It's called: The freedom of choice. ................................ |

Sorry, I totally forgot that in a democracy the resources are always equally shared and everyone has the same chances.
I should have thought of that. Regards, Gert |

Sorry Anna, but I have no idea what you're talking about. I just tried to say that I liked tour photo...
Yes I know they are normal people, I never said anything else. If you don't like the words "socially deprived" I can call them "poor", which I suppose they are. Gert |

Sure, they are not rich, but they eat, they have a roof, and they are rather happy...

I have this sour feeling, deep within me, that the only one person 'socially deprived' around here is - no more, no less - but Grazyna itself.
An excellent photographer. Vibrant and gutsy, and bold and adventurous and, to be recognized on this site - she has to kiss a lot of dirty butts around to get a word or two from the mere few. Just have a look at the amount of critiques for her photographs? How is it humanly possible to award thousands of totally worthless fotkas with dozen of points each, while ignoring something so valuable as her stuff in here - beats me ? She truly is a 'socially deprived' sample among us... The photo experts. .............. Last edited by Polonaise; 05-11-2010 at 07:51 PM. Reason: grammar |

Dear Gert...
In democracy EVERYONE has the same chance about the resources. How the individual is able to use that chance to his/her advance - that's entirely different story. Some of us, have IT - some of us, don't. But - as long as the democracy is there... rezpekt g. |
