Great agrin 2007-07-01 12:41

Very interesting shot. I just returned from a trip (bus and hiking) in Yunnan, and noticed that many of the high altitude roads (that were not dirt) are made of stones about 5" to 8" wide, which would make biking extremely difficult. Was this road smoother?

I think they make the roads like I described so they will not buckle during the freeze - thaw - freeze cycle.

Default To jwmunro: It would work- if.....

Hi John;

Thanks for stopping by. I hear what you're saying- but that theory would only work if the signage was in front of the direction the camera is moving in. The camera probably was focused on the blue sign board, but as the the camera is moving in the direction of the handrail- THAT is what will be in focus. Impossible to get the signboard sharp unless it was moving towards it OR it was moving on the travelator with us...
Know what I mean?
