Yes, my husband and I went there individually, but through a local tour provider. His name is Adnan and he leads Socotra Trek Tours. He is very kind, honest and will create a tour you want. Tours must happen Monday-Monday, because the only flight on which tourists are allowed flies Mondays from Abu Dhabi (no idea what will happen after yesterday's bombardment of Abu Dhabi airport by the Houthi rebels, though!). It was a fantastic tour, we camped on natural beautiful beaches, hiked to clear canyons for swimming, and moreover, there is nothing dangerous on the island, even snakes are not venomous. A delight. I hope you make it happen.
