hey prantik,
how've you been? it's been quite sometime since i last logged in to TE. couple of days of jetlag, couple of intercontinental flights later, i find myself catching up with some of the stuff that i was pushing behind for long. and boy am i glad that i logged in to TE. solely for this one. did visit most of my favorite works...but this one stands out. this shot in my view is an 'elegant' shot. elegant shots are not about great costumes and perfect postures to me, elegant shot is about geting close to your subject enough to present its story while the viewer is simultaneously made aware that you respect your subject and the distance between you two...very classic, very elegant. i can almost see the camera panning up from behind her and settling on a frame full of fishing boats...the first scene of a film maybe...
thanks for sharing this..may be i shud pick up my EOS soon, remove the dust and at least hold it close.

yeah...i did...and am still in a 'disappearing' state of mind...life's been 'acting up' ;)...just came from kol...in chicago these days...ah kolkata-r winter...although it's still not quite the same anymore...but don't miss out on the monkey caps ;)
