Default 900 views in 48 hours

The image I posted 48 hours ago has 900 views so far.
I think this is very unusual, especially when you know that the neighbourphoto,a very good one with the same number of points has only 220 views.
How can this happen?
Leo

It could be getting a whole load of hits because people are accessing it from search engines generally on the net

There are things in this world even the philosophers don't dare to dream about...
And this is one of those things...

Andreas,
Ok Ok, you should have had 4.6 times more points :)
Want more views?
Call the photo FREE,
include in the text;
Echelon, NSA, CIA, Bush, Dancing with stars, Britney Spears, Hilton, Paris (in any perticular order), naked, points and me.

try it!
PS, don't forget to say it came from wikipedia!

Yes Leo,
You have some keywords in the text that many people look for in search engines... that is why...
They nnever end growing then... it will reach millions of viewings some day! ;D

I think the explanation is simple - the photo provides a very striking thumbnail.
The good colours and simple composition allow the viewer to fully appreciate the photo from just a few pixels. This draws many people in to look at the full sized image. This also may help to explain why you actually have less points than the photo right next door - there is nothing else to see once you get to the full sized image. When people see the full photo and then discover more details to look at, they might be more inclined to give a critique.
I don't think it has anything to do with keywords or search engines, I can't see any keywords that might cause that.

Very high viewing figures in a short timescale is highly likely to be caused by internet spiders and search engines picking up on keywords. It is certainly at least as likely as the suggested alternative of even the most striking of thumbnails pulling that sort of response.
The image in question is certainly a nice one, but I would suggest that other images by the same author have thumbnails with more impact.
One thing the topic does make apparent is that there is absolutely no correlation between the number of times an images is 'viewed' and the points received.

Default What Keywords?

OK, can somebody point out what keywords in the photo's description attract search engines?!
I can't see anything obvious.

"have a nice weekend"?
put it in your next post and see what happens. If not, use the whole text and call the photo the same.
If that doesn't work, there is a chance that the guy at the NSA found what he was looking for a deleted the word from the list, since he now knows where he wants to spend his holiday.

Have a nice weekend!
(just trying :))

After many more days, it is only around 1300 views... it is slowing down... so i think it may be a case of striking thumbnails... if it was keywords that attract viewers it would increase exponentially and should be around 3 or 4 thousands by now... i think it is just a case of excellent thumbnail impact....!
