Great dragonslayero 2006-10-06 3:34

Hello Jim

Pure clean capture, nothing to steal away the attention from the rushing water.
What camera setting did you use to catch the tide like this?
Perspective and general composition works great, the element of mystery would be the Golden Gate... "what lies in that direction", similar question to that.
One thing that bothers ME a little, but really isn't that serious, is the fact that the opposite shoreline seems to be "bent", curved. Proparbly nothing other than the natural curvature from you lens but it just happened to catch my eye.
Well, thanks fro sharing.

Odd Jarle

Default To dragonslayero: This was a 3 second exposure

I was using a 2 stop neutral density filter and a Vari-ND filter. The ND filter was used to keep the sky from blowing out and the Vari-ND was used to slow the shutterspeed. Otherw settings: 16mm, f22.

Thanks for your comment.
