Great Aido 2006-02-09 9:13

Hi David, amazing colours, I think you did the right thing with the saturation. Great detail too, really nice image. The horizon looks to dip to the left though!

Default To Aido: Tilted horizon

Hi Adrian.

Thaks for your critique. I agree that the horizon looks tilted, but it is only an optical illusion because the shore of the bay is coming towards the eye on the left. I had cropped away a section on the right which included part of the open ocean, so I had a true horizon against which I was able to check that the horizon was level before cropping this.

Hi David,
I thought that might be the case as there appears to be trees on the far shoreline getting thicker towards the left. Fantastic photo though, never heard of the place before now but it's now on my list :-)
