Great st-eos 2004-03-19 20:03

Lovely shot. Detailed, perfectly exposed despite the challenges of 'white' on white, great timing to have the cub looking so pooped! Were you in a vehicle or a protected hide?

Default To st-eos: Polar bears

Thanks for your critique! I was in a tundra buggy - imagine a North American style school bus, crossed with a monster truck and then painted white - that's a tundra buggy :-)

My other polar bear shot features a smaller tundra buggy with a little visitor, which can be found here

Thanks for your reply, there's hope for the rest of us to get this close and survive then! The enlarged crop of the other polar bear shot is a big improvement on the original- pretty terrifying for camcorder man I'd imagine, I can't see the resulting home video being shake-free! Stick to stills I say; great shot!
