Default Strange behaviour TrekEarth Website....

Can't figger out what's going wrong, but i have updated my profile several times, put in my cam specs, and of course a nice picture of myself, but nothing seems to change.... it's all blank
When changing my Account some screens show me my login name at the upper right of the screen with the amount of comments, others just show my name with 0 comments.
I enabled cookies, flushed my cache, i'm out of options......

Is this something for Adam, or is there something i can do ???

Thankx

My suspicion would be Browser Caching is enabled. In IE, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options. Then under Temporary Internet Files click the Settings button. Under "Check for newer versions of stored pages" click "Every visit to the page". See if that helps :-)

Joep,

it has happened to me, too... well it actually happens every time I try to change something in my profile... here is the tip.

When you do update and you see nothing has changed, press the update button again for a second time. It works for me every time nothing happens with the first click.

Of course you have to understand that the software used by TrekEarth for doing so, needs a guarantee transfer rate and sometimes you might not get it from your ISP...

So, lets just say that it is not a "Strange behaviour of TrekEarth Website" but an IP issue...

Hi Panos thankx for your tip, i think i managed to update my profile, but i disagree with your IP issue. When i look at my personal posted photo page it is still blank evenso with my equipment.and i can't update them twice.
I think, (not that it really matters, TE stay a great site), that the website isn't "that" userfriendly and has some minor bugs in it.... not related to IP issues.... But this is a discussion beyond the scope of TE, Thanks for your tip....

What do you mean by "personal posted photo page"?

I've found the solution, there was some strange caching behavior on my machine, so no problems with the TE site.... !! sorry for my comments on the site..

Default To Adam...

You can always use certain meta-tags forcing the page to be delivered as new regerdless of any machine's cashing. Something like ctr+F5, but automatically...

I believe that would increase the bandwith which I'd like to conserve. Thanks for the suggestion.
