Hi Iain.A very moving poem and an evocative image of the passing of time, where nothing remains the same, only changes occur leading to demise. Yet there is beauty here in the light and the composition in which the equally scarred trees seem to embrace the house in an effort to prevent total collapse. Love the rich tones despite the sadness underneath it all. Reminds me of the house where I was born which I saw on my last visit to Dalmatia and which was used as a refuge for the refugees from Bosnia. Needless to say, it is on its last legs. Regards.
