Great Angshu 2012-06-20 1:04

Hello Anupam!
Look fwd to your series here. We also started our trip around Kinnaur & Spiti from Sarahan. I remember this view very well with the Buddhist monastery roof in yellow quite prominent. Light was very challenging here, with quite a lot of details not really clear in the FG..Giovanni's WS is quite OK...your HDR was a bit aggressive. But I like the light streaking through the clouds
With Regards

Default To Angshu: Thanks

Thanks for the compliment Angshu. Yes the light was a challenge (is always) and hence I thought I would take multiple exposed pics to try my hands on HDR (which I am not good at all). However my trigger happy finger did manage to get around 6000+ photos after which my 450D conked off suddenly. Fortunately or unfortunately it was the last leg (and most beautiful one), the journey from Kaza to Manali via Losar – Kunzum La – Batal. I now regret not carrying a spare body and understood the importance of carrying a spare camera . Iphone however did a great job while on that trip .
More later….

Default Camera...alas!

So I see you did Kinnaur, Spiti & Lahaul back to Manali! I could not go to Lahaul because Kunzum La shut down due to unexpected heavy snow fall & Batal was blocked off, resulting in 150 trapped people being airlifted

I loved Spiti & would be glad if you send me a link where you have the posted or hosted the pictures to my email id

Pity that your camera conked the most pictureque part of the trip
