actually the sky was so saturated that it was banding on the left so i used a 54 pixel gaussian blur, the black at the edge of the building is due to some of the building being in the sky selection...

pacific grove is immediately south of Montery on the coast. The two towns are actully in contact, the transition is around Love point as i recall. glad you like the shot.

i don't recall for sure but i think that the only sharpening i did was what is done by noise ninja. i thought about sharpening the rocks but i think i decided not to. glad you like the pic.

thanks for your comments. i chose not to sharpen the rocks in order to keep the focus on the wave and flying seagull. sharpening the rocks would have been fine too.
