I'm guilty
As one who removed all of my images a while back, I am one who is guilty of removing other's critiques. It was not an easy decision, and one day I may start to re-post them. However, my reasoning was...

You are right Henney. Only US citizens are allowed to participate in the contest. If I had to guess, it is for tax reason. However, anyone from anywhere can join the website and vote. There are many...

Re: Dream assignment
I'm in the top 100 (out of almost 1500). Any assistance in voting would be greatly appreciated. I need to be in the top 20 by the end of the contest (April 3rd). The judges will decide from there who...

Absolutely illegal
IF, and I do mean IF, TE is selling the images from this site, they are in absolute violation of copyright. I, in no way, have given TE or IB, or whatever they are calling themselves, any permission...

Re: Film and Airport X-ray Machines

I'm not sure about other countries, but here in the States, security will hand check film if asked. NEVER, NEVER, put your film in your checked baggage. The strength of the checked baggage...

Re: Semi-professional camera
It seems there is a slight difference of opinion as to the definition of "Scalliwag". I meant it in no other manner than the same as "rascal". If there was an assumed insult, it offer my most humble...

Ishya-
With George's silliness aside (you'll understand George once you've been here awhile, he's really just a harmless scalliwag) it may help to know what you consider not too expensive. Also,...

You're right David. However, the key work there is "basic". Those work for about 90% of the people who own them. Many of my clients are interior designers and architects. The need for exact color...

Re: pinhole digital
David-
Nope, I really mean f/90. Think about it, if the hole is only the size of a needle, the aperture is extremely small. Take a look at your lenses, and see what f/45 looks like, if you have...

Re: Pinhole photography
Actually it is very easy and cheap to make a pinhole lens for a digital camera. Take a body cap and smooth down both sides in the middle. Next, drill a small hole (1/4" +/-) right in the middle....

Hard to tell exactly what you're doing wrong, but you may want to check and make sure "allow cookies" is turned on. If you have that turned off, then the site (& others) don't know if you...

Of course it's a joke, but I'd love to know how they filmed it. It looks real enough to me, however, all you have to do is time microwave popcorn. It takes much more time for the kernels to start...

Re: How far is too far?
Hi Adrian-
I agree whole heartedly, I think your HDR on Flickr is a perfect example of what should and what shouldn't be allowed on TE.
"Fraggle Rock?" (I loved that show!) and "808-tate" are...
