To kaychambers: If you are off to Sapa...

First, many thanks for your numerous comments (I mean the comments, not the points, such as your idea to dodge the eyes - brilliant): really appreciated.

As for Sapa... the problem with the...

To kaychambers: You are right...

... they built it something like 30 ft higher than the Eiffel tower, just to be ahead: I guess the French would have done the same!

I took this shot before losing all my photo skills in some...

Thanks Gal, this is really good and much appreciated: I like the way you restored the perspective (making it look as if shot from straight across) and cut the two white bands on each side. I love...

Question for Pat

Your pictures are wonderful... they look like artistic postcards (said as a compliment). What does one do to get this effect? Is it the 30s you expose the shot? The use of filters? Do you work on...

To pridel: Merci Pascal

Tu as raison: le bleu est peut-etre un peu trop tonique. J'ai un D100 et je trouve que les photos manquent un peu de saturation en general, ce qui m'a fait pousser la saturation de 10% en photoshop...

Thanks

Eva,
Many thanks: this is very kind of you to go through so much post-processing. That is still an area that I have to start learning (two un-opened books next to me right now) and your help is...

To dawekato: Experimenting

This was actually a DOF experiment (the idea being to use a shallow DOF to get one row of puppets focused and the rest blurry): as I looked at Manny's picture, I realized that he had it right and...

To pridel: Got milk?

Pascal, merci pour ton commentaire. Got Milk? est en fait une blague: c'est le slogan d'une campagne de pub aux US qui essaie d'encourager les gens a boire plus de lait, dans un contexte ou les...

To Olga: Thanks

Funny, I was one of the people who suggested that you crop to emphasize the pattern... and I did not follow my own advice. Thanks for the advice. Will re-post.
