Thank you once again for your concern, encouragement and supporting critiques (comments). I fully agree that the background is blown out, since the picture was exposed during mid day. The woman was moving fast and the space available was uneven. Hence I showed interest in focusing and clicking the woman. In future I will try to expose a picture without blowing out the background.

I think your exposure was correct -- it was a difficult shot, given the dark tones in the subject and the brightness of the background. Your choice -- to expose correctly for the woman and let the background be overexposed -- was the right choice, I think.
