This is one of those shots that confuses at first, as you try to figure out what you are looking at, and then once you understand you go "aah HA!" I like it because it's playful and beautiful at the same time. Nice work!

What really stands out for me in this is the amazing sky - so beautiful and delicate, and such a contrast with the solid buildings of the city. As you say, this is all about the contrast and colours. Well done!

Wonderful landscape shot! The fog certainly gives this a different element, cutting off the background and allowing us to see the foreground rocks and trees in isolation. Well done!

Great shot of New York and the Chrysler building. I like the fact that we can see the people and cars on the street at the bottom, and then at the top we can see the beautiful spire of the building. Nice work!

Very good night shot, with a really good mix of lighting. The slight bit of colour in the sky is good too, because it looks much more attractive than a black sky. Well done!

Great interior shot! The light in churches always looks great to me, but it seems that it is hard to catch that in a photograph. You certainly were able to do that here. Well done!

Nice shot of this monestary complex. This is a photo that would be impossible in the summer as the leaves on the tree would block the view, but in winter we can see all. Well done!

Nice shot of this park, showing us some of the less famous areas. For me, Arches was like a fantasy land, with rocks and colours so fantastic that they were almost unreal. Thanks for sharing this and bringing back the memories!

You are the master of perspective, giving the perfect angle to show this kind of subject. The long line of piles creates a nice pattern and gives our eyes a direction to follow. I like the small cloud in the upper part too. Well done!

Wow, I really like the simplicity of this image! The lone tree standing above the flat ground works well, and your positioning of the tree near the edge of the frame works very well too. I really like that lighting on the foreground, with sun and shadow creating a dramatic setting. Well done!

Great shot! You really took advantage of the blue hour to get the best of this, as the warm light on the building contrasts strongly with the deep blue of the sky. Wonderful shot!

I really like these shots that you took from the Empire State Building - to me they really show the extreme crowding and busy nature of the city, with buildings packed so tight. Well done!

Wonderful shot! As usual, the colour is really outstanding and beautiful. I like also the patterns created by the lines of the windows, and the way the clock stands out in the middle of that. Somehow the image seems a little bit grainy or unclear, but it doesn't bother me because this seems more like graphic art than a photograph. Well done!

Amazing place, shown very well in your photo. I have always wanted to travel to the Antarctic or Arctic as I'm very attracted to the stark forms and wide open spaces of the landscape. Thanks for sharing your experience of this place, and I look forward to seeing more!

Wonderful beach shot! I like the way you used the reflection off the wet sand, allowing us to see the sky both above and below. Great sense of mood too, very peaceful. Your processing is excellent, as I could not even tell it was HDR. Well done!

Wow, fantastic shot! The two things that really stand out are of course the incredible colour, and the pattern that the tiles make. Your framing and positioning is just right, giving this maximum interest. Excellent work!

Nice shot Ann! I like the long horizontal format, which gives this a great sense of sweeping panorama. Good time of the day to take this too, with the sun down but still having some colour in the sky. Well done!

I actually prefer this shot more, because of two reasons. First of all, the sky is less bright or better exposed, so that we can see more of the detail in the clouds. The other reason is that the bottom part of the photo is more visible, so we can really see the texture of the ripples better. Both are quite beautiful and you should be proud of them!

I've seen a lot of photos of this place, but usually at sunset, so that the buildings are in silhoette. In this one, we have the full sunlight on the scene, and can actually see the details. Thanks for sharing!
