All I would see at a park would be the odd pidgeon or squirrel! It must be great to see this kind of wildlife. A Google tells me the fishing is good too. There is nothing I would change about this well composed and exposed image except to size it to view without scrolling. Great shot Shelley, I'm jealous.

Hi Ali, welcome to TE. Your image is a little soft overall so I have used both unsharp mask and, after reducing the image size and resolution(to 72ppi), I also used the high pass filter. The results show that you have a good eye for a picture. The deep colours of the wet brown and yellow leaves against the the darker wood show up well. I have posted a WS and you might also wish try cropping the softer leaves at the bottom but I quite like them. A good start Ali. For an explanation of the high pass filter please see my WS gallery.

For a beginner - in fact even for a non-beginner - you have an excellent gallery which I shall visit again. One can see how you've progressed but one thing that comes through from the first picture is your sense of composition. This picture is a good example abd I choose it because I have a very similar view in one of my web galleries but without the neat framing of the tree branches which add so much to this composition. I have taken the liberty of adding a little saturation in a WS but that is to one's own taste. I have also added just a little sharpening using the high pass filter which is available in Photoshop and Elements. If you would like an explanation you can either send me a message or go to my WS gallery where you will find it explained. The HPF brightens the edges of pixels and has the effect of brightening the whole image without actually changing the contrast.

Hi Klaudio. I love the rich contrasting colours here and the composition which leads the viewer down those deep furrows, sundrenched on one side and shadowed on the other. The disappearing paralels are always an eye grabber. Nice work indeed. PS. I also like and agree with your intro.

Hi Aadiil. This thumbnail caught my eye because we don't see many rainy weather shots on TE which is a shame. I like the fact that the wide aperture used serves to add contrast to the foregound cycle and diffusion to the background rain drenched scene thus enhancing the atmosphere. Good composition also.
