love the photo, one of my favourite birds. Love the natural colouring the way it is, the darker colouring gives the bird a feeling of strength, which the sea eagles are.

spent two trips out on the St Lucia estuary, saw loads of hippos and not one opened its mouth for a photo. Right time right place, cracking shot.

absoluetly stunning, Tobias, i am as jealous as anything, I have been after a good close up shot of a leopard for years to add to the others of the big five I have.

Silvio, it dosnt matter how many times I look at your photograph I find it extremely funny. I would love to meet the person in the Kwazulu parks board who designs their signs.

absolutely amazing, fantastic photo how long did you have to wait for it, or was it a case of being in the right place at the right time

Hi Kris beautifuly composed colourful composistion. I have only found one error, please correct me if I am wrong, and being new to the site i am not sure if this is the right place for the comment, please point me in the right direction. Before you took the photo did you ask if it was alright, as the guy on the left seems to be giving you the North African "go away nicely" sign, Wherever I travel I love taking photos of people, but before I do I always ask first, and if it is a stall buy something small or if it is a person you can always let them know you will give them something, a few rand helped a great deal in my recent travels through South Africa and up the Sani Pass into Lesotho. It could save you a black eye or in some countries even worse.

what an incredible shot and it certainly gives me a sense of the power the sea has. The almost circular montion the picture, with the long exposure, from the angle you have taken the shot it alsmost gives the impression the sea is going to rise into a water spout. And having seen the damage done to Umhlanga estaury on my last visit after the storm a couple of years ago it makes it almost believeable.
