I think this had the potential to be a really interesting shot. My critique is: a. composition: The lights are so distracting. Really takes away from the positives of this shot. b. exposure: I think a shorter exposure may have done more for this photo.

I have been to the very place and photographed the monkeys myself :) They are amusing to watch and often provide quite a spectacle but my experience was that they are quite difficult models. Similarily to Pieter I admire the little monkey's expression. To critique I must say the colors are not the best and I think the white-balance is little bit unnatural, resulting too green-blue image. Also, perhaps the exposure time should have been a bit shorter. Right now the darker background is nicely visible, but the moneys in fron are a bit overexposed. As the background is quite messy jungle, you could have sacrifised every leaf and branch being well visible for a better exposition of monkeys. The DOF could have been shallower to better distinguish the monkeys from the messy background. I hope you find my critique useful! :)
