We had many reasons to go to Cuba:
- Of course, the principal reason was to go away from Canadian Winter... even if it was not for longtime ;-)
- It is not too far from here (at least, in comparison to my beloved Brazil)
- There are a lot of advertisements for Cuba in travel agencies. They convinced us also because of the prices - not very expensive.
- It is not necessary to take drastic precautions. For example, no special vaccines are needed.
- It is one of the favourite sunshine destinations of Canadians. Everybody has already heard good things about vacations in Cuba.

It was one of these beautiful days in winter. The ideal climate for having a long walk in nature. The confluence of Rhine and Sieg nearby the city of Bonn is one of the last mouth of feeder rivers which is hardly changed by civilisation. The nature protektion area "Naturschutzgebiet Siegaue" was built up in 1986. This area belongs also to that landscapes which are protected by the european Habitats Directive. (6 photos)

to celebrate new year 2009 I decided to take a cruise on the Danube. It was my first river cruise and I think my choice was really good as the cruise went through Austria, a very beautiful and interesting country in many ways.
The trip started in Passau, Germany and called several ports in it way to Bratislava (passing through Budapest first), like Linz, Melk, Durstein, Vienna.

Bonjour,

Pour ce nouveau séjour en Corse, j'avais prévu de mieux découvrir deux régions dont j'avais seulement eu un aperçu l'année précédente : le Golfe de Porto et ses environs, d'une part, et la Balagne, d'autre part. Avec, comme points forts, les Gorges de Spelunca, l'ascension du Capu d'Ortu, les couleurs féériques de Scandola, le charme tranquille et dépaysant de la Citadelle de Calvi, la douceur de vivre et le patrimoine architectural des villages balanins, où se côtoient le baroque et le roman, héritage des Pisans...

Partis pour un mois et demi à l'autre bout du monde... Oublié le stress parisien, voici les grands espaces néo-zélandais avec ses paysages à couper le souffle: les alpes du sud, avec ces superbes pics et ses lacs immenses, les fiords grandioses, les forêts primaires, les cotes sauvages et les eaux turquoises du parc abel tasman, les volcans sur l'ile du nord. La nature protégée et à portée de main. Un calme extraordinaire, parfois un silence assourdissant, parfois les mélodies envoutantes des oiseaux.
