I like taking photos of streetscapes in the big cities of North America. Here's a collection of some of the streets I've photographed over the years.

The Hanseatic League (short form: Hanse or Hansa) was a commercial confederation of market towns in Northern Europe in the Late Middle Ages. It started in a couple of North German towns in the late 1100s, but came to dominate (mostly maritime) trade along the coasts of Northern Europe. The Hanse was at its most powerful in the late 14th century.

I have visited numerous cities which were a member of the Hanseatic League. Pictures from these cities are included in this theme.

De Gooi en Vechtstreek is a region on the border of the Dutch provinces Noord-Holland and Utrecht, consisting of the area het Gooi, characterised by some gentle hills, woods and heath and a number of smaller towns, and de Vechtstreek, located along the river Vecht, known for its stately homes, lakes and lowlands. I have lived in the town of Bussum, which brands itself as the “Heart of het Gooi”, since 2014 and found that the area offers many photo opportunities.

I've uploaded quite a lot reflection photos, so I decided to gather them all in one theme.

I am originally from the city of Haarlem, capital of the province Noord-Holland and located close to Amsterdam and the North Sea.
With polders east of the city and dunes and forests on the west side, the surrounding landscape is quite varied.
The city itself is more than 750 years old and has a beautiful historical centre.
I hope you like this theme, in which I would like to show you the city where I was born and raised and where I lived for almost thirty years.
