Photographer’s Note

There was maximum of the Perseids on 12th August. We (me, Antyqjon and Xkolba) went to the Zdiarska pass to watch possible shower ;). And the spectacle was quite nice, a lot of meteors has gone through the atmosphere, burning themselves and creating great fireworks. This is one of them: Perseid
Next we moved a little to see how the rising Sun illuminate Tatry mountains. And this is the effect :).

Hello Henryk,

The early morning sunrise really adds drama to this scene, and the moment is just right before the fog is chased away!
An amazing composition with great lines and a wonderful atmosphere...

A very beautiful landscape picture with real beautiful colours. The fact that there are two layers of clouds (or fog) is very nice on this pic.

here in Belgium, we intend to look last week end, but the sky was cloudy, as for the lunar eclipse :(

A nice picture you showed here, except that the cloud is too red for my taste.

The wide version is extraordinary.
The light is magnificent and bends it clouds makes the light image almost vaporous.
The gold on mountains and of the soft green for the field.
A perfect place for a meeting TE!

belle photo de cet effet du soleil sur cette montagne, avec ces couleurs superbe et cette grande netteté qui nous permet d' admirrer ces couches de brumes basses, brume ou nuages formés a mi hauteur, puis les couleurs rougeâtres puis ce ciel très légèrement nuageux.
Vraiment une jolie photo.

Hello Henryk,
We've seen almost all around the clock and alway they have this majestic look and seem to be beautiful at any time of the day.
Now the fable light of morning and the slight mist which still resists gives it a beautiful touch.
Don't know if it's the effect of the PP work or the sun breaking thru behind the mountains but I like the glow coming out behind them.

The early morning light makes this photo jump off the page. Your composition is fine using the field to lead the eye into the scene with the line of fog dividing the shot. This is an outstanding shot that looks more like a work of art than a photo.

Gorgeous image! The light on the mountains and the pink clouds would have made a beautiful image but the lines of low cloud top off the image perfectly. The gently sloping lines in the foreground kind of envelop the mountains. Wonderful!

you've been to a TE meeting, nice :). Thanks for the Perseids image, I knew about the phenomenon but I couldn't see it from where I live (in the city :)); I could see the lunar eclipse instead, from the beginning till its maximum phase.

Very nice image, it's chilly, a fresh morning feel :) - I can breathe it :).
At a first look I thought that you used a much wider lens, something close to a fish-eye but not really one - I don't know, that's a distortion feel that I get looking at this - must be the slope and the 'foggy circle' :)

I am glad to find this etherial view, one of your patented mist shots, among your most recent posts. The contrast between the greens in the foreground and the red peaks in the background, makes this a most memorable view.

As I wrote to Malgorzata (emka) also, I just heard from my publisher, Smithsonian, that a publisher — PROSZYNSKI, based in Warsaw — has purchased the rights to translate and publish my book, 'Math and the Mona Lisa,' in Polish. This makes an even dozen languages, and I am very happy that the Polish edition will be one of them.

Bonjour Henryk,
une vue panoramique avantageuse pour ce paysage naturel aux mille couleurs. L'effet de la brume qui sépare les sommets aux couleurs chaudes, des prairies.

You have managed capturing this unique state of nature, when the multilayered clouds and the light before sunset made the mountains looking even more beautifully.
