Photographer’s Note
Roptron is the ancient word for the door knocker...Usually they have the form of a small hand and they are made from cast iron plated with bronge...This one should be around 150 years old and the bronze has been removed due the passing time...These door knockers are now collective items and they are sold in antique shops...

The bronze is gone but the rust is still there, and makes a nice contrasrt with the blue door. Very nice shot, George.
