Photographer’s Note
San Nilo Abbey
The church was built at the beginning of 1000 ac by San Nilo (today patron of the city) and by a group of Greek Byzantine monks, on the ruins of a Roman villa. From the ancient villa, you can see the subway corridor used for walks, facing the splendid panorama of the Vallone. In 1480 the Cardinal della Rovere ordered the construction of a high city wall to protect the city from the enemy; we have today still four cylindrical towers. From the main majestic portal, the first garden is a Museum of great importance: you can find here Greek and Roman statues, sarcophagus, vases, marble cinerary urns. In the complex there is also the new monastery, where the libraries are, and where Greek and Latin manuscripts are kept. From 1928, inside the church, there is a laboratory for books restoration and it is here that many important books have been restored such as the" Codice Atlantico" of Leonardo Da Vinci.

Hello Eridan,
I like the point of view and the resulting composition is attractive!
Good lead-in and sharp fine details, colours in Nikon quality...
The view is nicely framed by vegetation, and the image has a fine sense of depth!
Greetings,
Pablo -
