Glacier Creek

Glacier Creek Trail
(From Sprague Lake to the Glacier Gorge trail)
Rocky Mountain National Park

This is taken from the bridge over this beautiful little creek. I shot my last post from the bank just up and to the left of this location.

The Glacier Creek trail is one of Andrew's favorite walks. This place is one of his favorite spots along the trail. Andrew loves to stand here on this bridge and take in the universe. We used to come here constantly years back during one of our most difficult times. I have been meaning to come here with my camera for a long while .. It is one of my favorite places for autumn colors so I held off until this last weekend.

The Glacier Creek trail is a quiet trail. Few visitors pass this way. It is one of our "secret" places in the park. It connects from Sprague Lake (and the nearby campgrounds) up to the popular Glacier Gorge trail trail. Most campers skip the additional mileage of the hike up the mountain and bus or drive up to the Glacier Gorge area.

Andrew prefers that we park up at Glacier Gorge and then hike down the mountain and catch the bus back up to our car. Today we were cut short by a rain. Mostly we just sat around this place and hiked back up to the car after the rain got too heavy.
