Photographer’s Note
Located at the end of a nature walk through a rich coastal hammock stands this statue of Chief Tomokie in Tomoka Ntl Park.
This 40 foot(12m) monument depicting Chief defending a sacred golden cup suffered badly of vandalism.
This brightly colored work is impressive; but....apparently Chief Tomokie never existed and the creation is based mostly on Fred Dana Marsh's imagination , who sculped it!

Hello Robert,
A well done photo documentary!
An amazing monument has been depicted, and I can see some damage has been done to the figures...
Otherwise I notice the beautiful framing trees and the rich colours!
Greetings,

Hi Robert,
Wonderful sharpness to this intricate sculpture of the chief that only exist in the artist imagination. The colors are remarkably clear with the green contasting nicly with the blue sky.

Bonjour Robert
A good documentary photo. The damage caused by the vandalism is apparent. You've done good framing with the branches of the trees & the sculpture stands out against the blue sky.
Best Regards

Hi Robert,
The framing works well here. The statues really do set off the trees; otherwise the crudity of the statues and the vandelism have the feeling a satire.

Hello Robert! I couldn't quite tell what this was as a thumbnail but I'm glad I came in for a closer look. It's a nice interesting surprise. The details in the sculpture are well-seen and it contrasts beautifully against the blues and greens. Nice placement of the statue too.
