Photographer's Note

Foto taken at Sermilik icefjord, East Greenland.

Photographers zoom, crop, adjust light, brightness, color, contrast, hue, saturation, gamma - all to upload the perfect shot to TE - and they often complain when there is not a small boat at hand when shooting an iceberg in Greenland.

Greenland is the world's biggest island with only 56.000 inhabitants and there are millions and millions of beautiful icebergs, so when you see that one and only and there is no boat in sight, what do you do? You shoot it anyway of course.

So why bother if there is nothing to compare with? Is it big or small or gigantic? Maybe.

Is it beautiful? Yes.
