Photographer's Note

Inverness is the transportation hub for the northern highlands. The Ness River runs into Loch Ness. The water is always moving quickly and always looks cold.

I was looking for that evening light, but it wasn't flattering any of my subjects. Looking at the sunset directly, it was very monochromatic. Turning around I noticed what appeared to be a fire on the other side of river. I also liked the bench, so got it all framed up.

A little bit of post processing was done to create a ND grad effect.
