Photographer’s Note
It was an incredible, a game full of fight and errors, good launch and great nervousness, but in the Portugal end it obtained.
I was very happy in knowing that the Filipão (Luis Philip Scolari) the trainer of my Brazilian National Team in the World Cup 2002, obtained to take Portugal to the 4 best ones of the Europe.
Go ahead Brazil and the Filipão!
After game, amazing show, worthy the great games of soccer, I left for the land where I live and took some pictures, but the one that I see that the joy of the Portuguese supporters prints more is the photo to follow, with the smile, the colors the relief !
Rooney go home... Rooney go home ! Shout portuguese suportters after the game...

Hi Joao
Well done to Portugal. I think they played better on the night. We won't mention the disallowed goal - I don't think the referee should take his holidays in England for a while!
I can not believe England have been knocked out another competition by a penalty shoot out :o(
Nice picture - it shows the emotions well.

Though I am really sorry for England, I am really happy for Portugal, and it was an excellent and very dramatic game. I love those smiles, wish you luck at the semi final. I like your series of Eoro 2004, it is very interesting and in real time. Well done, Joao.

Joao
The triangular compo created by the way the heads meet, makes this pix really good. Just check your DOF, f8 is generally best for portraits, note the OOF teeth. F2.8 will only work in profile here. Congrats on beating the Brits.
