Photographer's Note

A cold winter morning with mist hanging over the Allouette River. This stream drains a large lake and is a favourite canoeing haunt for outdoor enthusiasts during much of the year. The stream flows through wetlands and farmland protected by massive dykes from the annual flooding of the Fraser River. The main species of fish caught by anglers in the Allouette are the cutthroat trout.

Although a polarizer was used here, my own view is that a better result would have been obtained with a ND grad filter.
