Photographer’s Note

The Ganga Aarti which is celebrated at 7 pm each night, is a spectacular sight, when the aarti ceremony is performed at all temples in Haridwar at the same instant. Hundreds throng to the ghats at Hari-ki-Pairi to participate in this festival. Offerings of lamps and flowers are made to the river immediately following this ceremony and it is a moving sight to watch hundreds of miniature lamps float along the river.

Fantastica inquadratura di tutta questa gente!! Incredibile vederee tanta gente così a contatto dell'acqua, non c'è riva, non si vede terra ma solo acqua e gente; e ogni persono ha una storia, sono ben descritti nel dettaglio, non sono una massa ma una somma di individui: questo risultato è dato soprattutto dalla bravura tecnica.
E poi ci sono sullo sfondo tutti gli altri che fanno le abluzioni, e questi qua forse aspettano o forse le hanno già fatte.
In mezzo c'è anche un signore che chissà perchè sta cercando di farsi strada!

Wow! Wow! wow! What a crowd and what an atmosphere in this scene! Spectacular as much as popular!...The shot is blurred but no matter... it's due to a mystic vibration, of course! Impressive. And I guess not easy to get, as there must have not much space to take your camera out from the bag !!! Greetings,
