Photographer's Note

Two years ago with my old camera, (canon g2) when i had less knoledge, i am still a beginner.

this picture has quite a good story. me and my family where having a bath in the afternoon in la playa: El Portillo, Located in Samana las terrenas. the i took some shots of the sunset with my tripod then some with people in the middle, (you couldnt recognize them , you could only see shadows). I took some more shots and before leving i took this last "one", just for the sake of taking it. and then it turn out to be the best one.

i learned my lesson: "dont be satisfied with the least. go to the best", and keep taking pictures until is dark, you run out of film or batteries" but dont use any excuse, that in those last moments is that you get the best shots.

this phrase i came up with it right now (7:57 7/11/05):
" nothing more than the art of printing into paper the art of God..".

El Portillo is near las terrenas (five minutes in car). they both have a lot of beautiful beaches, near by (one hour and something in car) there is one of the TOP TEN beaches in the world: this is a picture of: Playa Rincon.

it is also known for its good food, in las terrenas there are a lot of tiny restaurants with view to the ocean (you are actually at sea level, because we have very low tides, and about ten meters away). this are a couple of link of near by places:
Sunset (same place as this one).

This is in Las Terrenas.

This one is Near Playa Rincon.
