Photographer's Note

The Esplanade or Queen Elizabeth Walk has been with Singapore right from the beginning. Together with nearby Beach road, it was at first the European enclave, with many colonial bungalows. The walk is along the three lined foreground, and the waterfront barrier is quite original. It then became a playground with the nearby Padang becoming a cricket field. Today its still a cricket field for the Singapore Cricket Club located on the west end of the Padang. Today, like the past, you still find many strollers and lovers walking the Esplanade. Like the wedding couple you may just spot on the right bottom of this image.

I am experimenting this panoramic stitching of two 17mm wide-angle images, and due to the distortion, a fair bit of time was taken with photoshop to aline the joints. A 17mm lens will give you about 2/3 of this view.
