Photographer's Note

Trashi Chhoe Dzong is located at the west bank of Wang Chhu (River). Like other Dzongs it is built without using nails or written plans. The original Dzong was built in the 13th century and have since gone through several rebuildings due to fire. The current structure is built in the 1960s as Thimphu became the new capital of Bhutan, taking over from Punakha. It is now the seat of the government and the headquarters of the clergy.
