Photographer's Note

The European otter is a typical species of the otter subfamily. Brown above and cream below, these long, slender creatures are well-equipped for their aquatic habits. Normally, this species is 57 to 95 cm long, not counting a tail of 35-45 cm. The European otter is the most widely distributed otter species, its range including parts of Asia and Africa, as well as being spread across Europe. Source: Wikipedia

Shot taken in the Warsaw zoo. The current zoo was opened on 11 March 1928, it roots can be traced to 17th century private menageries, often open to the public. King Jan Sobieski III kept a court menagerie in Wilanów, and the 19th century saw several private zoos opened in the city.
