Photographer's Note

View on Pic de Gabiédou and Pic de Bouneu from Maillet heights, at the west end of Cirque of Troumouse. You often hear about beauty of its neighbour, the Cirque of Gavarnie, but I found the Cirque of Troumouse even more beautiful ! Maybe because there is no tree there, which creates a very wild atmosphere. Maybe too because it is less known, so you have less tourists ! To go to the cirque, you have to drive from Gèdre village to Héas village. Then the road (there's a toll in summer) goes up to Maillet heights, then to the Cirque of Troumouse. When I was there, the road was still closed because of snow from Maillet heights to the cirque, so I had to "only" with the wonderful scenery around Maillet heights ! Hope you like it too !
