Driftwood After the Storm Photo

This was taken on the same day as http://www.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=1151071

There was heavy showers of rain and hail with lightning, and very strong winds.
During the late afternoon the skies cleared for a few minutes which allowed me to capture this stormy looking photo.
There were bits of driftwood scattered about everywhere, so i ended up composing a shot with one of them in it :-)

I used an ND4 Graduated filter

Hi Jamie,
the wood and rocks provide nice foreground interest and the exposure in the sky is perfectly managed. Also I like the effect on the water. Actually I want to try and do shots with water effects like this...I saw you used a ND4 filter and I thought you needed stronger than that but apparently that works pretty well...I was thinking about going for an ND8 (or 2?) at least...Well I guess it depends on the lighting conditions...Anyhow, good job!

Très belle réalisation. Le cadrage est magnifique, l'utilisation du filtre et de la longue exposition donne une belle lumière dans le ciel et un très bel effet de l'eau qui coule sur le sable.
