Photographer’s Note
This isn't technically Provo, but given that the city is about 5 miles away as the crow flies from this spot, it was my closest option.
This is Cascade Meadows just south of Provo Canyon, possibly the best place for fall colors in this part of Utah. I'd been here in the spring and seen pictures of the fall foliage, but I had to come for myself. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint. I got here right as the maples and oaks had reached their peak of red and orange. A couple weeks later and the red/orange had faded, but the aspens had started to turn a brilliant yellow.
This was taken at the end of my time in college. For some reason I passed on posting it previously. But the trees are turning orange and yellow and red (somewhat) here in Texas, and I thought it was appropriate.

Hi Clark,
Glad you remembered to post this one - its a beauty. I like the perspective and enjoy the rolling hills dressed in autumn color. I did a workshop to show a slightly lightened version for comparison. Well done and TFS. gerald

Hi Clark,
When I think about Utah, I can imagine rocky and dry landscapes, so I am very surprised seeing such green places in Utah ! The POV is excellent and the autumn colours are very nice.

Hi Clark,
The reds and oranges make for a tremendous palette .. the curves of the valley are great compositionally .. it gives the image a sense of vastness and yet intimate nature as well .. very nice. take care, John
