Photographer’s Note

This cutter is catching brown shrimps in the North Sea along the shore of the state Schleswig-Holstein. These brown shrimps (in German: Krabben) are a very popular delicacy in this region of the southern North Sea. Ideally they are already boiled on board and sold immediately in harbour. But before you can enjoy them - you have to shell them, a fiddly and not very popular job ...

Look all these seagulls following the ship in order to snatch the by-catch.
In foreground you can see Wadden Sea - just falling dry while low tide. The birds there are Oystercatchers.
