Photographer's Note

Hi TE friends,

This is one of most beautiful Forts in Lisbon region.
In the WS, you can see the Map with coordinates, from Google.

I hope you enjoy it !

The original building, built on the ruins of the old Fort of St. Antonio da Cruz, almost looks like a medieval castle, braving the fury of the sea that in the days of greatest turbulence affects the basis of its high walls. This is in Tamariz Beach.

Tamariz Beach is
situated in Estoril, next to the train station, the Tamariz Beach is the most cosmopolitan in Cascais area. Detached from the Estoril Casino’s beautiful Gardens by the Marginal Road and the train, Tamariz Beach is one of the tourist centres in the region, with several bars and clubs. It is a quite comfortable beach for those using public transportation.

The beach is not provided with a car parking of its own, therefore it is common in summer time that all the areas around the beach are crowded.

Facilities
Bars; Restaurants; Toilets; Showers; Sun shelters and beds for rent; Tourist Office; Lifeguard During Summer time; magazines and newspapers shop; Accessibility for the Disabled; Blue Flag Beach.
