Photographer’s Note

In the city of Bonito (which means Beautiful in Portuguese), the macows are in their natural habitat, as the toucans and tens of other exotic species of birds which can be found all around there. Not like the toucans, the macows approach the tourists much more, as this one in the picture, which didn't run away from the cameras.

Esse Bonito (MS) ainda não conheço ... Aqui pertinho temos o nosso Bonito (PE), cheio de cachoeiras ...
Bonita fotografia, Alexandre! A ararinha parecia estar se esquivando do fotógrafo. Tímida, talvez. :-)

Olá Alexandre,

Bonito, está um lugar maravilhoso, mas que poucos conhecem. Tive a oportunidade de conhecê-lo alguns anos atrás. Fiquei bem perto de alguns como esse na Boca da Onça. Eles parecem amigáveis, talvez aí o problema de estarem em extinção. Muito bonita foto, o flash foi essencial para resgatar todos os detalhes do animal e das folhas que o cercavam. Obrigado por compartilhar!

tirei muitas fotos das araras vermelhas nesta última viagem ao pantanal, algumas tão próximas quanto esta. gostei aqui do mix de suas cores com as da folhagem, o efeito do flash ficou legal. bela foto

Fine capture of a macow, even I have the feeling it is a bit overflashed. However without doing so, it would be difficult to see the bird. Color hues are vibrant and the sharpness is high. Well done

Bela arara, o verde e o vermelho ficaram excelentes. No fundo parece haver uma cortina cinza, que realçou bel os detalhes da foto. Excelente composição, você pegou a arara no momento em que ela falava "Curupaca".

Me surpreende a mansidão das araras, até porque por aqui não temos elas na natureza. Aqui temos sabiás que também ficam extremamente mansos nas cidades.

la foto es muy curiosa por la posicion del ave en el arbol, quizas con un nivel mas bajo de flash los colores hubieran salido mas naturales, la composicion me gusta, es diferente, bien visto!

so you have been to Bonito. I have seen a report from this wonderful place in TV and I was very impressed about the clarity of some rivers. Flora and fauna must be a dream over there. The red and green macaw hidden behind the green leaves is nicely taken. The good use of flash bring out its lovely colours. Well done.
