Photographer's Note

The first records of the Jesuits in Macať date in 1634, the principle was established close the Macať River and near the Sant'Anna Hill in a working farm, which over the years became known as the Farm Macať or Farm Sant'Anna.

On the hill was built a school, a chapel and a small cemetery that holds till this day the remains of some Jesuits. In 1759, the farm was incorporated into the property of the Crown by Judge Joao Cardoso de Menezes, this time the Jesuits were expelled from Brazil, imposition made by the Marquis of Pombal.

The Church of Sant'Anna was founded a century later, in 1896, where was the chapel in the past and today is a heritage of the city.

In this week, probably on Friday I'll star upload photo of my vacation trip to Santiago (Chile).
