Photographer's Note

Much of the south coast of Kangaroo Island is sand although most is covered by vegetation.
In a few spots there are large areas of exposed sand hills such as this spot which is known as Little Sahara.
The sand is white and the hills are steep so plenty of people hire sand boards and trudge up to the top of the steepest hill to side down (hence all the foot marks in the sand). Once up many are reticent to go over the edge so many just sit there and watch others.
Three of those in the photo have boards but only one of them came down while I was watching.
