Photographer's Note

'Scarborough' is one of a number of ships belonging to Sydney Ferries that ply seven different routes radiating from Circular Quay in and around Sydney Harbour and beyond.

This particular vessel entered service in 1986 and has a capacity of 403 foot passengers. 25.38 metres in length, it has a displacement of 105 tonnes and a top speed of 12 kilometres per hour.

The picture was taken shortly before she left Circular Quay for Cockatoo Island. The ship is named after one of the original ships in the 1787 'First Fleet'.
