Photographer's Note

As I have mentioned before, Canyonlands National Park is divided by two merging rivers (see the map) into three regions: The Needles, The Maze and The Island in the Sky. My previous shot from this park was taken in The Needles. Now it is time for a photo from the Island in the Sky. Both photographs explain the origin of this park’s name.
Entrance to the Island in the Sky is very conveniently located next to the Arches National Park (my previous upload) and a Dead Horse Point State Park. All of them are in a close proximity of a town Moab, which makes an excellent base for exploring this area.
This particular shot was taken from the Grand View Point Overlook. I guess I don't need to explain where does the name of this overlook come from.
