Windmills at Palm Springs, California
This windmill farm generates about 600-900 megawatts of power, enough to support the electricity needs of the entire city of Palm Springs. There are about 3,100 windmills in the farm producing enough power comparable to a mid-size nuclear reactor. The windmills are located in the San Gorgonio Pass, surrounded by the San Jacinto mountains providing a wind tunnel making the Pass one of the consistently windiest spots on earth powering the windmills 300 days a year.
Taken from a moving car while travelling about 70 miles per hour. Just autocolor in post processing.

Great capture Ken! Great compostion with windmills "from wall to wall"... excellent contrast and very good sharpness - excellent given that it was taken from a moving car.

That's a whole lot of wind turbines. And I thought the farm I saw in Iowa had a lot with 50. This is really amazing. And it's so well composed, especially from a moving car. The lines of towers ares great. And the reflection is really excellent. Gives it a gleaming, shiny, futuristic, feel. The diagonal of the lines of towers matches nicely with the diagonal of the receding mountains. Just an amazing shot. These things fascinate me to no end. Excellent capture.

Le cadrage est excellent et la lumière rasante qui éclaire juste les mats est magnifique.
