May 22: Haines, AK

Our next excursion, Whale Tails & Lighthouse Tales, was scheduled to leave at 4:30 PM. So we had to walk back to the pier without wasting time. On the way, I managed to get a few snapshots. The main entry shows the Fjordland, which was going to take us on our excursion, docked next to the Noordam. Of course, when I took the photo I did not know this fact. I simply took it for the sake of the scenery.

The photos in the workshop are other quick snapshots that I took along the way, without stopping to learn about my subjects.

Common Beauty: Surrounded by snow-covered mountains, this blooming tree was a welcome sight.

Noordam Tarafından Gölgede Bırakılmış

Bir sonraki gezimiz olan Balina Kuyrukları ve Deniz Feneri Masalları, saat 16:30'da ayrılmak üzere tarifeliydi. Bu yüzden zaman kaybetmeden iskeleye geri yürümek zorundaydık. Yolda, birkaç tane fotoğraf çekmeyi başardım. Ana giriş, bizi gezimize götürecek olan Fjordland’ın Noordam’ın yanına demirlendiğini gösteriyor. Tabii, fotoğrafı çektiğimde bu gerçeği bilmiyordum. Ben sadece manzara uğruna çektim.

Hello Murat,
One boat is dwarfed by another which in its turn is dwarfed by the mountains. They all provide an amazing view, and the composition benefits from the inclusion of some groound and green plants at the bottom. Nice but much more discreet pictures are seen in the WS.

Hi Murat,
great picture from the cruise.
The cruiser well contrasts with the surrounding unspoiled nature.
The snow covered mountains look so impressive.
I like this characteristic blue color of the water too.

It's a fantastic scenery with those impressive mountains and their white, snowy summits. The clear and sunny day also produced some wonderful blue tones. The ship is well placed in the centre.

Nice series of three photos from what sounds and looks like a fascinating trip. They are all different and give us an idea of a variety of subjects available for photography out there.
Lovely light and colours in the main photo and the mountains in the distance look truly majestic. So does the big ship and the difference in size is indeed huge.
