Photographer's Note

I would highly recommend a trip to the Kennedy Space Center if you visit Orlando.

Do take the "NASA Up-Close" tour which takes you within 5000 ft of the Space Shuttle.

Go on a week day so that you can see the International Space station being built. NASA workers get weekends off too! It is an amazing experience.

I have included a picture of the European Module being built and to be added to the INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION in 2008 in the WORKSHOP.

"The crew of the shuttle Atlantis, set to launch Aug. 27, will be delivering a 35,000-pound addition to the half-built international space station.

"This has been described ... as one of the most difficult tasks ever attempted by humans..This has never been done before, the creation of a spacecraft in space." says NASA .

The 17 1/2-ton addition, costing $372 million, will be one of the heaviest payloads ever flown to space. The project is the beginning of an effort to finish work on the space station before the cargo-carrying shuttles are retired in 2010."
